The units are industrially hardened and specifically designed to operate reliably in electrically harsh and climatically demanding environments such as those found in electric utility substations and factory floors.
RUGGEDCOM Media Converters offer a wide range of benefits from reduced installation, configuration, and management costs to an improved ROI on legacy devices. They combine the advantages of conventional copper data cables with those of fiber optic cables providing copper-to-fiber, serial-to-fiber or serial-to-IP conversion and bridging the gap between copper and fiber-optic network segments.
Copper data cables are vulnerable to electromagnetic interference. Using RUGGEDCOM Media Converters ensures the data integrity and provides lossless and interference-free data transmission for mission critical applications.
