High-performance RTUs for extensive control tasksRTUs based on the SIMATIC S7-1500 Advanced Controller impress with highest performance and flexibility. Telecontrol stations (RTUs) are connected to a Telecontrol control center via the TIM 1531 IRC Telecontrol interface module using Telecontrol protocol (SINAUT ST7, DNP3 or IEC 60870-5). This allows the complete product range of the S7-1500 to also be used for setting up substations in the Telecontrol environment.
RTUs based on SIMATIC S7-1500 are suitable, in particular, for complex and extensive Telecontrol applications – such as in widely dispersed sewage systems or drinking water supplies, district heating systems, as well as in oil extraction and gas supply, power distribution and traffic engineering.
The TIM 1531 IRC can also be used both as node and as master station in Telecontrol systems.
