触发时拉断阀瞬间分离成两半阀体，其内置阀门可自动截断管线在分离点的通路，从而防止低温物料外溢造成的安全事故。
通常拉断阀一端安装在固定的管道或者储罐出口，另一端连接低温鹤管或金属软管。
