FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX),and the world’s largest express transportation company, is givingDublin businesses greater opportunity to trade globally, with theintroduction of a new Boeing 767F cargo jet into its Europeanfleet.
As part of its ongoing fleet modernisation strategy, the newfreighter offers more capacity for the existing Dublin-London-Parisroute, offering Irish businesses that export to the UK, andmainland Europe, greater opportunity to ship their goods.
The first Boeing 767F to begin service in Europe for FedEx, thenew aircraft brings superior capacity and environmental performancecompared to the aircraft it replaces, including noise reduction tothe FedEx fleet as part of the company’s ongoing investment in itsEuropean air and road networks.
The newly introduced aircraft operates five times a week andconnects FedEx hubs in Dublin, London Stansted, and Paris-Charlesde Gaulle – one of the major FedEx hubs in Europe alongside Cologneand Liège.
The new Boeing 767F can carry up to 91,000 pounds of cargo, whichrepresents an increase in capacity of approximately 16% compared tothe aircraft it replaces. The new freighter is also 9% percent morefuel efficient than its predecessor, which combined with the highercapacity, reduces emissions by 21% per pound.

Sezek added, “At our Dublin hub we are absolutely committed toproviding exceptional service to customers whilst minimizing theimpact of our operations on the local area. This new aircraft, inaddition to the B777 aircraft we already operate, will provideexcellent service reliability.”
Preparations for the arrival of the new Boeing 767F started anumber of months ago. Thousands of hours of comprehensive traininghave been undertaken by team members, including air operations,ramp agents and technicians.
