LiveTwin Edge app can run a wide variety of 1D simulation models, such as simulations of mechatronic systems.

Export simulation models directly from MATLAB® Simulink®, Amesim, Open Modelica, and more than 100 other simulation tools and simply play them in the Siemens Edge devices.

Industrial Edge app LiveTwin is compatible with the FMI standard 1) and therefore compatible with the most important 1D simulation tools on the market, including Simcenter Amesim (for multi-physics models), MATLAB® Simulink®, Ansys and many others.
Industrial Edge app LiveTwin is software that is independent of the simulation tool. It is fully integrated in MATLAB® Simulink® and can run models that were exported to a destination with Simulink Coder as code in C++.
Industrial Edge app LiveTwin is integrated in the Siemens Industrial Edge ecosystem with the Industrial Edge app Flow Creator.
This integration enables the user to pre-process and collect data, among other things, with the wireframe of the Flow app and the portability of LiveTwin simulation models.
Users can import various models of different simulation tools directly into LiveTwin and create model instances, connect the models with Flow Creator, and run the various models together without additional runtime for each individual simulation software that was used originally to create the models. This shows the portability, compatibility and independence of the simulation software used.
